FEI extends shutdown of international events in mainland Europe due to EHV-1 outbreak

The FEI has extended the shutdown of international events in mainland Europe for a further two weeks, up to and including 11 April 2021, in order to contain the spread of the Equine Herpes Virus (EHV-1 – neurological form) outbreak.

Sadly the shutdown means cancellation of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final & FEI Dressage World Cup™ Final 2021 in Gothenburg, which were due to be held from 31 March – 4 April 2021.

It is truly regrettable that we are unable to host the FEI World Cup™ Finals for the second year running, but the health & safety of the horses is our top priority & this extended lockdown is crucial to slow the spread of the virus.
