Drama surrounding Nations Cup in Lummen

This weekend the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup starts in Lummen but the organization were forced to cancel the CSI1* shows due to extreme rain and snow. Now the Nations Cup has been cancelled as well as everyone sees that the horses’ welfare comes first.

Irish Cian O’Connor stated on his Facebook page : ” The Nations Cup in Lummen has been cancelled – wise decision – the rain has been torrential here in Belgium and the horses must come first. There is always another day”.  Of course for Ireland there were some changes for the team and it was said the Cameron Hanley was to replace Greg Broderick but of course since the event was cancelled, none will be competing due to weather conditions.
